100 Days of Magnitude
Drifting aimlessly can be a good thing... particularly if you’ve never tried it. A chance to reflect on one’s life and its meaning can offer a new way of being in the world. But what if, instead, you’re just going through the motions and have lost sight of your own aspirations? Your days can become littered with broken promises... to yourself.
And so.. why 100 days...? Some of you might recognise my inspiration - I read 100 Years of Solitude many years ago and was profoundly affected by this classic. A friend of mine asked me why I'd be interested in something so deeply depressing and I smiled wryly - I found it inspirational. It seemed as though there were something inescapable about the fates of those in the book but, on closer examination, it was revealed that that was just a myth. 100 Days of Magnitude embraces the truth - that we can choose to plod along in a life which makes us feel unfulfilled, dissatisfied, resentful, discontent OR we can choose to fill our lives with magnitude - greatness.
Greatness is relative here and can be on whatever scale you choose it to be - it is YOUR perspective and no-one else's. You might want to travel to a foreign city but be able to speak the language... yet you've never quite found the motivation to do it. Maybe you've been in recovery for many years and have lost sight of the horizon?
What were - are - you aiming for? Maybe it's time to pull life back into sharper focus.
For the record, I began my own 100 Days of Magnitude mid-February this year and I really enjoyed it! For me, it took the form of a much-needed Spring clean - both physically and mentally! I completed a course in Mindfulness, kick-started my meditation practice and had a good old clear-out at home.

This program offers you the opportunity to create your very own 100 Days of Magnitude by giving you a chance to reflect on what's really important to you - and for you - and to make crucial and significant change happen in just 100 days. This differs from my usual sessions, in that we create a specific number of goals in advance (during the goal-setting session) which are worked on individually in 30-minute sessions.
In standard 1-hour sessions, following the Discovery Session which looks at long-term hopes and dreams in greater depth, you would set a goal (aligned to your longer-term aim) just prior to each session (at least 24 hours in advance). This allows for more flexibility and can accommodate a specific event in the week between sessions, for example... or it might be that we spend the session allowing you to get clear about what you want. We also have the luxury of time to explore issues in greater depth, when necessary.
With this program, we will work together in:
- Setting realistic & achievable goals which are important to you - there could be ONE main aim with a few smaller goals which will take you there
- Creating 10 focused 30-minute coaching sessions (following your FREE goal-setting session)
- All sessions undertaken by phone approx every 10 days to keep you on track
- Use of client website (including confidential on-line journal to track your progress)
- Motivational tools & tips to keep you moving forward
